All-new Dodge Hornet Takes The Country By Swarm

2023 dodge hornet

Dodge Hornet’s all-new multimedia marketing campaign has been released across broadcast, digital and social media. The ninety-second “Swarming the Nation” video debuts today on the brand’s social media channels; the 30-second teasers lead into the full reveal of the campaign video. Dodge is enlisting big-name TikTok and Instagram influencers, some of whom appear in social media content and recent broadcasts, to spread the word and create buzz about the upcoming swarm. True to the Dodge brand, the Hornet stands out as the fastest and most powerful compact utility vehicle (CUV) with class-exclusive and best-in-class dynamic features.

The Dodge Hornet R/T Performance Hybrid — Dodge’s first-ever electrified vehicle — turns electrification into performance. With 383 lb.-ft of torque and 288 horsepower, it can go from 0-60 in just 5.6 seconds, making the Dodge Hornet R/T the fastest and most powerful utility vehicle in the segment while offering more than 30 miles of range on an all-electric electric battery using a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 15.5 kW/h.

Serving in Connersville, IN, near Indianapolis, Muncie, Richmond, and New Castle, our Dodge dealership provides excellent services in Plug-In Hybrid SUV, Dodge lease deals, and new SUV specials.

ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, AND PERFORMANCE

Hornet GT models are powered by a 268-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. During our initial test drive, the Hornet GT was quite peppy. This transmission is enough to motivate the Hornet to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. The R/T plug-in hybrid model features slightly more power and an EV mode that should make it quicker, but buyers will have to wait until the 2024 model year to take one home.

INTERIOR, COMFORT, AND CARGO

The Hornet’s cabin is just as spacious as the Tonale’s, meaning it’s roomy for front-seat riders but cramped for those in the back. Interior styling is also similar to the Tonale, with the main controls and infotainment system angled slightly towards the driver and the automatic transmission’s tall shifter positioned on the center console. The Dodge Hornet also uses the same steering wheel as the Alfa Romeo but with the Dodge logo in the center, which has an integrated ignition switch under the left spoke. The standard is a black upholstery with red stitching, but the GT Plus trim comes with leather and those ordered with the optional Track package get faux suede. A red leather interior option is also available.

INFOTAINMENT AND CONNECTIVITY

All models come with a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital display. The software interface is the latest Uconnect 5 system used on other Stellantis models, such as the Chrysler Pacifica minivan and the Ram 1500 pickup. The ability to connect to Amazon Alexa is a standard feature, as is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upgrading to the GT Plus replaces the 14-speaker Harman/Kardon stereo with a standard system. It adds a bar for wireless smartphone charging.
